For an introduction to
Jungian concepts such as
anima and animus,
archetype,
persona,
shadow,
individuation, and
synchronicity,
it is hard to find a more enjoyable, well-written book than Murray Stein’s
Jung’s Map of the Soul. Stein, a contemporary
Jungian whose own Collected Writings were recently released,
does an excellent job not only capturing Jung’s ideas,
but also conveying the spirit within them.
