With Alfred Adler and Sigmund Freud, Carl Gustav Jung is one of the three ‘fathers’ of depth psychology. Jung’s contributions include development of the theories of the collective unconscious, the archetype, and synchronicity.
In addition to his influence on psychologists, Jung has informed the work of mythologist Joseph Campbell and physicist Wolfgang Pauli. His theories have also inspired numerous artists ranging from Jackson Pollock and Stanley Kubrick, to bands like Tool and BTS.
