Collective shadow

Definition.

The collective shadow is the manifestation of archetypal forces in the form of group behavior, often negative in consequence and generally denied, this shadow operates below the level of the group’s awareness. Embodied in ‘groupthink’ and mob mentality. Sometimes called a cultural complex.
